I dye, paint and sew natural fabrics - cotton, silk and rayon - to create unique clothing and accessories. I use a variety of processes, including hand-painting, resist dyeing and traditional Japanese shibori. Each piece is an original work of wearable art.
I start with white fabric. Depending on the material and the desired outcome, I either apply dyes with brushes then steam-set the colors, or I use immersion baths of fiber-reactive dyes that bond with the fabric and become permanent. I use only the finest, non-toxic products.
